ACoRD is a project funded by Erasmus Plus Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education (CBHE) and cofunded by Erasmus +Programme of the European Union. It is led by Professor Heather Wharrad and her team from the University of Nottingham, UK. 

The partner universities include three universities from Malaysia: University of Malaya (UM), Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and Taylor’s University (TU), one from Norway – University of Stavanger (UiS) and Karolinska Institutet (KI)  from Sweden. 

University of Malaya

About the Institution

University of Malaya (UM) is the oldest university in Malaysia situated in the southwest of Kuala Lumpur,capital of Malaysia. Academic Enhancement and Leadership Development Centre (ADeC) is a one-stop centre in UM to improve and promote innovative and scholarly approaches to educational development among students and staffs. It acts as the central department that is incharge of e-learning development, implementation and evaluation in the local context of UM.

    The Health e-Learning and Media (HELM) team based in the School of Health Science has an international reputation for its elearning innovation and developments including the multi-award winning Helm Open site which offers freely available high quality digital learning objects for health being used all over the world. They had received the gold award for digital content at the Reimagine Education awards 2018.

    About the Institution

    Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) is one of the top research universities in Malaysia situated in Serdang, Malaysia. The Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FMHS), UPM was established on 1st of August 1996 and at present is the largest faculty in UPM. The e-learning in UPM is promoted and monitored by Centre of Academic Excellence (CADe),UPM. CADe aims to enhance academic quality and academic staff excellence of (UPM).

    About the Institution

    The University of Stavanger (UoS) located in Stavanger , Norway and is a member of of the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU). The department NETTOP was established in 1999/2000 particularly to support the development and implementation of e-learning, putting UoS at the front in the application of web-based solutions supporting teaching, or used independently for learning.

    About the Institution

    Taylor’s University (TU) is one of Malaysia’s most successful and reputable private higher education institutions. . It is a modern and progressive university, well respected in Malaysia and often considered a benchmark for other private higher education providers. In 2012, e-Learning Academy (eLA) of TU was established as a unit within Intellect (Integrated Teaching and Life-Long Learning Centre at Taylor’s). ELA’s task is to help the academics effectively and meaningfully implement the use of technology in transforming the learning journey of the students.
